What Catholics believe about Mary

 Hey readers,

So this first week of lock down in R.E we have mainly been learning about Mary but there are many other names for Mary such as Blessed Mary ever virgin, Mother of God and many more, Why do Catholics worship her? Well they dont they pray to her. Mary was a Jewish girl chosen by God to be the mother of Jesus, Mary was told by God who sent angels down to earth that she would be the one, the one who is the Mother of Jesus, God had a plan for Mary at the Annunciation where the Angel visited her and said "Hail,  full of Grace."  and told Mary she would give birth to God's Son, she could have declined this offer but she said "yes" This took courage for Mary who was a Virgin and remanded one her whole life. How could that happen if she was a Virgin? Mary convinced Jesus "not with a man but with the Holy Spirit" Mary said. Why do Catholics pray to Mary? Think about the times you have been ill or in trouble and asked a friend or family member to pray for you well since the earliest days of the Church we have asked Mary to pray for us not because we worship her we dont or because she has the power to change things only God does but because we believe  she will bring our needs to jesus just as she did to the wedding couple. We honor Mary for her part in bringing God's love into others.

Stay safe and be kind :)
